California's State Controller John Chiang has a user friendly website that allows you to locate unclaimed property that has been sent to the state for safekeeping as well as some property that is about to be sent to the state from a select group of businesses.
The Controller updates the website weekly with new information and provides each user with simple instructions for filing paperwork to claim their lost money and assets.
