New York State has over $10 billion of unclaimed assets

According to the New York Daily News more than 25 million inactive bank accounts have been turned over to the state. And now the government is sitting on over 10.5 billion dollars; waiting for the owners to claim their funds.

In fact some celebrities, including Angelina Jolie, Spike Lee, and Yankee manager Joe Torre have funds that have been turned over into the state.
