WISN reports that the Wisconsin State Treasurer has recently set up a booth in a local Milwaukee Museum that helps Wisconsinites see if they have any unclaimed money owed to them.
There are more than $82 million unclaimed rebates, insurance policies, and bank accounts that got escheeted to the state. The state doesn't spend the money---However, they do receive the interest on money while they wait for the owners/heirs to come forward and claim the cash.
